- Franconian Wine
Weingut Hans Wirsching KGIphofen
Vineyard size: 90 hectares
The dreamy, unencumbered, idyllic town of Iphofen is located in one of the most beautiful landscapes imaginable. Grape vines grow on steep, sunny hillsides. The wine made from these grapes is an annual gift. Mother Nature and its cycles are the foundation of our existence.
Wirsching wines are the result of the combination of tradition, nature, technology, and knowledge of it all. The responsibility and the joy of the wine exalt our lives.
We are deeply rooted in old-fashioned, Franconian wine traditions and cultivate classic grape varieties. Our wines are the perennial favorites: We offer dry, as in fully fermented, Sylvaner wines, classy Riesling varieties and fruity, effervescent Müller-Thurgau wines. Also, we make a stout Weissburgunder wine (Pinot Blanc) as well as velvety-fruity reds, such as the Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) and Portugieser wines.
