Weingut Reiss

Weingut Reiss (Würzburg, Fränkisches Weinland)

Unterdürrbach is located in the northwest of Würzburg, at the northern drop of the famous Steinberg. The vineyard of the Reiss family has been established there since the year 1800 and it has also had its sunniest sites on the Pfaffenberg above the village since then. On the Stein, on the Randersackerer Pfülben as well as on the Sonnenstuhl, on the Veitshöchheimer Sonnenschein and in the Himmelstadter Kelter, Christian and Martina Reiss prefer to grow Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir. In other words, the old classic grape varieties of Franconia, from which they then obtain wines that convince with their power and depth.

As far as the quality of the vinified wines is concerned, the wines of the family winery have long ceased to be overshadowed by the great and much praised names from Würzburg. In three lines, Martina and Christian Reiss present their wines in their own vinotheque, but also in national and international competitions. For the presentation of their lines "Neues Franken", "Fränkische Klassik" and "Großes Franken", the new vinotheque offers an appropriate and exclusive ambience. The steel and glass construction features attractive architectural details and a sensational view from the tasting gallery of the vineyards around Unterdürrbach. Martina Reiss was an ideal partner for the planners in the design and organization of the new vinotheque. She is a wine experience and guest guide in Würzburg, and knows very well what guests and wine connoisseurs want. At the Reiss Winery, everything is ready for this.
