terroir f Würzburg

Artistic vintage book

Terroir-f (Würzburg, Fränkisches Weinland)

The "Würzburger Stein" was immortalized in literary history in the 18th century - thanks to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. He wrote about the wine from this vineyard: "I am miserable if my usual favorite drink goes away". "Literature and Wine - Goethe's Guest Book. Wine inspires" is the appropriate theme of this terroir f.

From the balcony of literature, which hovers above the vines, visitors can enjoy the view of Würzburg as well as the vine-lined slopes rising from the Main Valley. At 13 steles, visitors encounter Goethe as well Walter von der Vogelweide, Hermann Hesse and Leonard Frank. They were literary figures for whom the enjoyment of wine was very important, as one learns in the wine reading book.

A digital showcase providing even more information on the importance of wine in literature completes this terroir f.
