Even from a distance, the impressive structural sculpture of this magical place of Franconian wine can be recognized. Radiant white, as if a spaceship had landed from the vast sky above Franconia in the middle of the vines, this cylinder floats in the wine culture landscape. Like a giant pair of binoculars, the Franconian cultural landscape opens up to the visitor upon entering, far into the seemingly endless horizon. Inside, the story of Silvaner, which was first planted in Franconia over 350 years ago very close to this magical place in Castell, is told. No other grape variety embodies the wine country of Franconia, its people and of course, its wines as much as this grape variety. It is both the soul and identity of the Franconian wine region. And only a really great grape variety like the Silvaner is able to produce from the simple hearty Schoppenwein to fresh lively local and estate wines to the great dry wine, the Große Gewächsen. It is only natural that after enjoying the unique panorama, it is high time to enjoy a glass of Silvaner in Rödelsee.
