The winemakers gold

terroir-f (Erlenbach am.Main, Spessart-Mainland)

The winemaker's gold: The winemakers are the "mountain farmers" of Franconia: This becomes clear when visiting the terroir f Churfranken. It is formed by the breathtaking terraced vineyards in Klingenberg am Main and Erlenbach am Main. Two oversized masonry blocks on the "Franconian Red Wine Hiking Trail", which are only a few steps apart, stand here for the theme "Steep slopes, colored sandstone and sun - the winemaker's gold". In the radiant gold and red of the Pinot Noir grape, which is typical for this region, they are harmoniously complemented by the terrace-shaped wine landscape.

These heritage-listed vineyard terraces date back to the 16th and 17th centuries. Around 28 hectares (69 acres) are planted, and the walls have a combined length of around 220 kilometers (137 miles). Visitors not only enjoy the view at this terroir f, but they also get a glimpse of the hard and laborious cultivation of the terraced vineyards.
