Founded in 1850, the Estate Geiger is the oldest, documented winery and estate in Thüngersheim. Today, the estate is operated by Manfred Geiger and his son Gunter. Gunter Geiger has taken a wine-making apprenticeship at one of the best wineries in Germany (Robert Weil, Rheingau) and then went on to study viniculture/enology at the technical college in Geisenheim. Thanks to his extensive training, traditional techniques, valuable experience, and innovative approaches are combined to make the finished product.
