The Abt-Degen-Steig Trail is located in the Northeast corner of the Franconian wine country. The trail is an introduction to a young and dynamic winegrowing region. Views of the Main River valley, the pilgrimages church Maria Limbach and the Steigerwald Forest all the way to Bamberg alternate with historical vineyards (that are arranged like fish bones) and modern vineyards. Also, there are numerous wine towns along the way as well as the city of Zeil. So there is no shortage of places to rest, eat, drink Franconian wine and be merry!
